SummerFest Beer, Wine & Art Festival is a signature event benefiting the Northern California Alzheimer’s Association & Sacramento Memory Walk. Memory Walk is the Alzheimer’s Association’s national, annual, signature fundraising event, raising more than $220 million since 1989 for research, programs and services.
SummerFest will feature local Breweries, Wineries, Restaurants, Artists, Silent Auction, and Live Music. On Saturday, June 26, 2010 this event will bring our community together for a beautiful summer afternoon and a worthy cause! The SummerFest Silent Art Auction will feature many of Sacramento’s local artists, as well as items such as weekend getaways, limousine packages, signed collectors items, and more!
SummerFest is a powerful way to demonstrate our commitment to this increasing national and local issue, which currently affects over 220,000 Northern Californians with AD, their caregivers and loved ones. We are proud of the fact that SummerFest is helping to create “top-of-mind” awareness of Azheimer’s Disease, and the help, education, and support the Alzheimer’s Association offers
This is a dynamic opportunity for all of us to come together and speak for those who can no longer speak for themselves. A strong campaign paired with support from local Businesses will assist in making SummerFest a great success in helping make a difference.
With the uncertainties of today’s economy and an ever-growing demand for dementia related services we need our communities help now more than ever.
